Adidas set the stage for the biggest show on earth, unveiling TRIONDA – the Official Match Ball of the FIFA World Cup 26™.

Meaning three (Tri) waves (Onda), TRIONDA celebrates the trio of host nations – Canada, Mexico and the USA. Each of the four panels carries their national colours of red, blue and green, while embossed symbols a Star for the USA, a Maple Leaf for Canada and an Eagle for Mexico – reflect the identity of each country. The design is completed with rich gold detailing, paying homage to the iconic FIFA World Cup trophy.
From a performance point of view, adidas has reimagined its construction. The new four-panel design features intentionally deep seams and debossed lines for improved in-flight stability, while the embossed icons enhance grip and control especially in wet or humid conditions. Rumoured to near replicate the legendary Jabulani, which a certain Diego Forlán made famous 15 years ago, TRIONDA blends nostalgia with precision.

Beyond its striking visuals, TRIONDA introduces the next generation of adidas Connected Ball Technology, developed in collaboration with Kinexon. The 500Hz IMU motion sensor is now side-mounted within one of the panels, providing enhanced balance and consistency in flight. Real-time data from the ball feeds directly into the VAR system, allowing faster and more accurate offside and handball decisions. With artificial intelligence integration, TRIONDA can even identify every touch of the ball, ensuring smoother officiating and less time lost to replays.
It’s bold, alive, and unmistakably North American – a ball built for a World Cup like no other. The Official Match Ball of the FIFA World Cup 26™, along with its training counterparts, is now available at adidas stores, online, and selected retailers.
From the chaos of the Jabulani to the precision of Al Rihla — where will TRIONDA rank among the greats?
