Adidas SPZL reimagines heritage for Aston Villa, Celtic and Newcastle
Following last year’s successful drop for Nottingham Forest, Leeds and Aberdeen – adidas SPZL is back and this time for three of Britain’s most passionate clubs.
This collection celebrates identity, craftsmanship and the stories told through colour and texture. Each SPZL has been signed off by the clubs themselves, creating peices that go beyond simple colourways – they’re stitched with local memory, terrace pride and visual nods to defining areas.

The Aston Villa SPZL comes in a sleek claret suede, sky blue stripes and yellow detailing – a palette that mirrors both Villa Park’s legacy and adidas’ vintage Rhodes lineage. A design rooted in the Midlands, made for the new generation.
Celtic’s rich heritage is shown in their green suede upper blending eras of the clubs history – dating back to the Lisbon Lions. The SPZL also features translucent foxing and gold Celtic FC SPZL detailing making this one feel like as much a relic as a reinvention.
Classic black and white suede accented by light blue touches nods to Newcastle’s infamous ’70s era. Subtle contrast stitching and gold foiling create a sharp, nostalgic statement straight from the terraces of Tyneside.

The trainers anchor each clubs capsules but its the apparel that completes the storytelling. Crew shirts, terrace-style 1/4 zips and tees arrive in club specific palettes – blending archival adidas cuts with terrace utility. Adidas SPZL distills everything football fashion should be – respectful of heritage, refined ind design and grounded in community.
Three cities. Three stories.
